A poll released earlier this month by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center showed that 18 percent of people believe Obama is Muslim. That was up from 11 percent who said so in March 2009. Just 34 percent said Obama is Christian, down from 48 percent who said so last year.

"I'm not gonna be worrying too much about whatever rumors are floating on out there," Obama said Sunday. "If I spend all my time chasing after that, then I wouldn't get much done."

Asked about persistent accusations that he wasn't born in the United States, the president responded, "I can't spend all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead."

NBC anchorman Brian Williams also asked Obama about conservative commentator Glenn Beck's rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday. While he didn't watch the event, Obama said, "I think that Mr. Beck and the rest of those folks were exercising their rights under our Constitution exactly as they should."

The president acknowledged the ralliers' concerns about the economy and terrorism and observed, "Given the fact that, you know, in none of these situations are you gonna fix things overnight, it's not surprising that somebody like a Mr. Beck is able to stir up a certain portion of the country."

Obama added: "I have no doubt that we are gonna rebound and rebound strong. But when you're in the middle of it, and if you don't have a job right now, it's a tough, tough situation."

70% percent or more of our food contains genetically engineered food brought by the bio-tech giant: Monsanto.

GMO is endangering people's health and our environment at an alarming rate.
Cross-contamination is irreversible and good, organic crops are being jeopardized.
These seeds are incredibly expensive compared to the traditional ones and have been genetically modified to produce their own pesticide, to survive the spraying of the: "Roundup", a potent herbicide and to self terminate.

This has lead our farmers to buy new GMO seeds each year and depend on Monsanto. As a result of this ruthless drive to use India as a testing ground for genetically modified crops, 125,000 farmers took their own lives. 
These people were driven to debt, to economic distress, homeless and landless.

We are sorry BP that you are getting all the blame. 
We are sorry that WE, the people are having hard time understanding that you are not just one company but that you and all other oil companies are ONE and are ruling the WORLD. 

We are sorry that, We, the people, are being so naive blaming it all on you and almost never take the one action that could change this all. The one action that could stop oil drilling onshore and offshore, gas drilling (fracking), coal and the whole fossil fuel industry altogether once and for all, ending this ecocide FOREVER just by signing this petition:

We are sorry to be the first social movement to have created the one petition that could end this all and to inspire many others to do so, spreading fast and powerful just like your oil spill does.

Hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" is drilling for gas.

In order to accomplish that, hundreds and hundreds of secret, carcinogen and toxic chemicals need to be used along with millions of gallons of water.

The byproduct is this toxic and deadly cocktail of contaminated water called "Produced Water" that gets dumped into ponds or injected back into the ground. Then, they use sprayers to help evaporate this water and make it vanish into thin air.
An other byproduct is the constant release of VOCs in the air that will produce ozone. 

Within days, all of it comes back into our fresh water supply killing aquatic life and anything that comes into contact. It finds its way into the kitchen sink, crops and into your PLATE.

BP needs to be held accountable. This is one of the worst crimes against the human race and our nature.

"I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's work, banks are going bust, shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TV's while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad - worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. 

We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone.' 

Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot - I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. "Companies that have spilled oil, carcinogens and dangerous bacteria into lakes, rivers and other waters are not being prosecuted, according to Environmental Protection Agency regulators working on those cases, who estimate that more than 1,500 major pollution investigations have been discontinued or shelved in the last four years.

The Clean Water Act was intended to end dangerous water pollution by regulating every major polluter. But today, regulators may be unable to prosecute as many as half of the nation’s largest known polluters because officials lack jurisdiction or because proving jurisdiction would be overwhelmingly difficult or time consuming, according to midlevel officials.

'We are, in essence, shutting down our Clean Water programs in some states,' said Douglas F. Mundrick, an E.P.A. lawyer in Atlanta. 'This is a huge step backward. When companies figure out the cops can’t operate, they start remembering how much cheaper it is to just dump stuff in a nearby creek.' ”
